Surfing for Patterns
You know we at At Betty's Bureau are passionate about design and everything available to buy on the site is decorated with a beautiful design by a variety of artists, illustrators, designers or photographers etc.
We thought it would be exciting to share that one of our favourite surface pattern and illustrative designers Amanda Dilworth has created her own blogspot featuring more of her gorgeous designs and her new website is to launch soon.
We have a range of greetings cards by Amanda, but our fave product is the limited edition photograph album available to buy online http://www.bettysbureau.co.uk/products/151/photo-album-violet-flowers.aspx
It seems Amanda likes us too, as she mentions our lovely site in her blog!

Betty's Bureau finds a Bureau called Betty!
Well, it’s quiet amazing what you can stumble across whilst scanning your way through the endless list of gift items on the superhighway that is the internet.
Betty’s Bureau, the home of stylish stationery and gifts in beautiful designs has found an actual ‘Betty’s Bureau’ or perhaps that should be a Bureau called ‘Betty’, either way we do think its gorgeous, just take a look at it on this lovely site > A Bureau called 'Betty'
We would like to point out that ‘we’ are Betty's Bureau and were here first!

When was the last time your wrote a note, card or letter?
Stationery glorious items of beauty, coveted by their owners and sometimes not even shared, it appears that stationery users fall into several categories.
I’ve seen women hands clasped tightly over the purchase of their latest box of notecards, which they plan to use they really do, but the cards are so pretty, the co-ordinating box so beautiful, it seems a shame to write in them doesn’t it?...
Or the type that use them as a representation of themselves, they’ll use these beautiful writings sets, notelets and cards to send just the right message to the friends of their social status, exquisite taste and classiness
Or there’s your oh so organised and thoughtful friend, who never misses a birthday, anniversary and it seems no sooner have you shut the door on their last visit that the thank you card shoots through the letterbox on the mat at your feet, which you haven’t even had the chance to step away from.
You can achieve with correspondence what can’t be achieved through email, or texting or any other e-method… where you have to rely on your wit and humour, your astuteness. How you choose your piece of correspondence is similar to how you might choose your wardrobe of clothes, floral and vibrant or contemporary classic and chic, traditional, environmentally friendly, your stationery reflects your eye for beauty, your values, your personality.
Sending a written piece of correspondence shows you’ve taken time and are grateful or thankful or just to let someone know that you were thinking of them.
It’s the new retro modern way of keeping in touch and who wouldn’t want to receive a note, card or letter from someone…
And so, when was the last time you wrote a note, card or letter?
